German Wrestling Promotion wXw Suspends Operations Due To New Lock Down Restrictions

Earlier today Germany announced new lock down measures across the country due to a rise in Corona Virus infection rates. One of Europe’s top wrestling promotions wXw have reacted to this news announcing that as of now all live shows are suspended until the 28th February 2021.

This will not affect their Catch Grand Prix tournament, currently airing on their streaming channel as these were taped in September.

Due to new lockdown restrictions it would be impossible for International stars to perform for the company as of November 8th

The German promotion are hoping to resume taping for their season 3 programming in December;

Due crowd social distancing restrictions the company are considering postponing next years 16 Carat tournament.

As reported earlier this month the wXw training facility had already been closed until the the 1st of November and this will now be extended until the 30th of November.

wXw is Germany’s largest wrestling promotion, having stars such as Walter and Ilja Draganov as well as most of Europe’s top independent stars perform for them. The WWE Network recently added some of wXw shows including wXw Ambition 11, wXw Shotgun 2020, wXw Shortcut to the top 2020 as well as many others.
