WWE To Leave Amway Center

WWE has been recording Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown from Amway Center in Orlando, Florida since August 21st . They have also conducted their Pay Per Views, starting with Summerslam and most recently last night’s Hell in a Cell PPV, from the home of the Orlando Magic NBA Team.

There had been reports previously that WWE would have to look for a new home after last night’s Hell in a Cell PPV, as the contract with Amway Center was to finish on October 25th. This was then extended through to 1st of December 2020.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE will be finding a new home from the 1st of December as they are set to leave the Amway Center, with arenas in North Carolina, Texas and Illinois being discussed.

WrestleVote would continue to say that the arena would be required to be a modern arena to facilitate the weight of the Thunderdome aswell as have a major travel hub for talent to travel to each week.

It is also worth noting that WrestleVotes have mentioned that it is an arena that the WWE are looking at to continue the Thunderdome, as it was also previously reported that Vince McMahon may be looking to go back on the road with Raw and Smackdown.

If these reports are correct, then this years Survivor Series, which will honour the 30 years of The Undertaker, will be the last PPV to take place in the Amway Centres, Thunderdome.
