As the old adage goes “plans changed,” and WWE know this all to well. Things often change quickly in WWE, with the program between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns serving as proof of this.
WWE Payback came and went, and with Reigns winning the WWE Universal Title in a Triple Threat against ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman it seemed he would be working a long program with Wyatt, who lost the title without being pinned. WWE chose to go in a different direction, putting Jey Uso in Wyatt’s spot instead.
Uso appeared on The Gorilla Position podcast where he was asked about a potential “The Rock” vs Roman Reigns dream match. Uso discussed how quickly things can come together in WWE.
“I’ve seen internet stuff, but nothing in concrete. You know how wrestling is. [Roman] was supposed to be with ‘The Fiend’ but now he’s with me. It writes itself as it goes. How awesome would it be; Roman Reigns vs. The Rock at WrestleMania? I want to see it,”
The Rock recently commented that it would make sense for him to face Reigns in an all family clash at WrestleMania.
