Wrestling Community Responds To Death Of Ryan Smile

Members of the wrestling community have spoken out following the death of promoter and wrestler Ryan Smile.

Smile, from Birmingham, England, had been a veteran on the British independent wrestling scene for over a decade.

He is perhaps best known for launching his own promotion, Lucha Forever, with his business and tag team partner Will Osprey. Smile also wrestled for a number of promotions, including Kamikaze Pro, WrestleMidlands, ATTACK!, Revolution Pro Wrestling, IPW:UK and HCW Hungary.

WWE star Pete Dunne, who wrestled with Smile as part of the Second City Collective Stable, tweeted a picture from a 2018 ATTACK! Wrestling Under The Mistletour event, and followed the tweet with a link to UK charity the Samaritans.

WWE stars Joseph Conners, Ivar and Miya Yim, as well as Impact Wrestling’s Sami Callihan also posted tributes on social media.
