Former multi time WWE champion CM Punk is set to return to the ECW arena. According to a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the MMA promotion, Caged Fury Fighting Championships is set to stage two live events at the former ECW arena in Philadelphia, PA (2300 Arena), and the ‘voice of the voiceless’ will be on hand to call the action.
This will not be Punk’s first dive into the world of MMA, as he tried to launch a UFC career after his abrupt WWE exit, but sadly stepping inside the Octagon did not being much success for Punk.
CM Punk has some experience as a commentator, having spent some time behind the announce table on WWE RAW in the past. Perhaps this latest commentating role could lead to more broadcasting opportunities for ‘the best in the world’.
