Ivar Of Viking Raiders Set To Undergo Neck Surgery

WWE confirmed that last week on RAW, Ivar of The Viking Raiders suffered a cervical injury, and would be out for some time. WWE and Ivar assured fans that he would make a full recovery, but the period of time for that recovery may be a bit longer than anticipated.

Bryan Alvarez revealed on todays Wrestling Observer Live that Ivar’s suffered a serious injury and he that will indeed have to have major surgerh. Alvarez said the following – “Tomorrow, in Birmingham [Alabama] he will be getting neck surgery,”

Dave Meltzer further reported that Ivar has been experiencing neck issues for quite some time, and it seems that last weeks suicide dive further aggravated those niggling problems. As of this writing it is unclear how long Ivar may be out or when he might return to the ring.

Shortly after delivering the bad news to fans, Ivar put out a message on Instagram thanking fans for their support and well wishes. He assured everyone he would be back as soon as possible and thanked them for their overwhelming response to his injury.
