Chris Jericho Thinks AEW Have Already Signed WWE Star

AEW, as we know, are more than happy to sign any WWE talent who may help them in their quest to outshine their biggest rival. Tony Khan and Co are often quick to announce that their new signings are “All Elite”, and Chris Jericho is known for occasionally letting the news slip on his Talk Is Jericho podcast.

WWE Performance Center Coach Serena Deeb was recently released by WWE, largely down to the fact that the PC had to close due to the pandemic. She surprisingly made her way over to AEW and even recently wrestled a match against NWA Womens Champion Thunder Rosa. Many fans expected it to be a one time deal but Deeb impressed enough fans, and seemingly some people backstage, that it may have landed an actual contract.

Le Champion revealed during the latesg episode of Talk Is Jericho that he believes Deeb has already earned herself a contract:

“Right now I’ve got NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa, she had a hell of a debut on Dynamite last week in a great match against Serena Deeb. It got Serena signed actually, I believe, and then had another great match challenging AEW Women’s Champion Shida for the title at All Out on Saturday.”

The signing of Serena Deeb could be a very shrewd one for AEW. She is clearly still more than capable in the ring, but possibly even more importantly she knows how to train younger talent as well, something that AEW sorely need.
