Tony Khan Says That He Isn’t Going To Try And Stop His Wrestlers From Monetizing Third Party Platforms

Following tonight’s AEW All Out PPV, company Owner and President Tony Khan participated in the post show virtual media scrum.

During the scrum Tony was asked about Kip Sabian’s segment on the PPV where he promoted his twitch stream, and was asked his and AEW stance on their talents using third party platforms. This comes after news broke earlier in the week of WWE issuing a new edict that will restrict their Superstars from using any third party platforms going forward.

Khan stated that there are different answers for different platforms, and that a talent seeking out a sponsorship and using a third party platform is a little different. But he adds that he supports people going out on twitch and youtube for example and monetizing those platforms. He puts over BTE and mentions how that youtube show is not on the AEW channel but they still support it.

He adds that he knows that Kip Sabian loves twitch, and says that he isn’t going to try and stop him from using it. He again says that each platform is different, and says that it all depends on how you are addressing it.

He finishes by saying that he doesn’t think that he would ever tell somebody in the company what the can or can’t do outside of the company.
