Andrew Yang Condemns Vince McMahon

Earlier today, news broke that Vince McMahon issued an edict this past week stating that talent are no longer allowed to “engage with outside third parties,” which would presumably include popular platforms such as Cameo and Twitch.

There were many negative reactions to the news, but one in particular really stuck out. Former Democratic Presidential candidate Andrew Yang, who is a known wrestling fan, took to Twitter to condemn Vince McMahon in a series of tweets.

It’s not everyday that a well known politician calls out WWE and their shady practices of calling their talent “independent contractors” when it’s evident they are employees.

WWE was the focal point behind Last Week Tonight’s piece on Independent Contractors last year, and only seem to be adding to the reasons why the independent contractor label is murky at best. For those that missed that last year. The video is below.
