WWE Added Stipulations Before Agreeing To Release FTR

According to a recent report from Fightful, FTR had some stipulations and clauses added on when they were released from their contracts with WWE. These additional requirements would need to be met met before the two men were let out of their contracts.

The duo had to sign over their trademarks for “No Flips, Just Fists,” “#FTRKO” and “Say Yeah” to be allowed out of their deals. According to them, they paid $10,000 to obtain those trademarks in the first place, but still chose to sign them over to WWE so that they could leave.

Their departures from the company weren’t “as smooth as WWE tried to make it look.” Dax and Cash noted that they have “pretty clear” goals for the rest of their careers. The two said that after speaking with AEW a couple of days after their WWE releases, they knew exactly where they were going to go.
