The Rock Purchases XFL Following League Bankruptcy

The Rock is arguably the biggest actor in the world these days after spending a lot of his youth plying his trade in a wrestling ring for his boss, Vince McMahon however a lot has changed since those days as The Rock has partnered with Gerry Cardinale’s RedBird Capital to purchase the XFL off Vince McMahon for a handy $15 million on Monday as reported by Scott Soshnik of Sportico (via Tyler Conway of Bleacher Report)

The deal which came just before the league itself & it’s assets were to go up for auction since Vince McMahon filed for bankruptcy protection earlier in 2020 after the current global pandemic wiped out the inaugural season.
