New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) have announced they will launch NJPW Strong, a weekly series each Friday night streaming on NJPW World that will kick off with a New Japan Cup USA 8 man single elimination tournament for an oppotunity at Jon Moxley’s IWGP US Heavyweight Championship at a date TBD.
Beginning next Friday, August 7th at 10est (straight after Smackdown by the way) all four first round matches will go down with the Semi Finals taking place on August 14th then the final on August 21st.
First Round Match-Ups are:
KENTA vs Karl Fredericks
Jeff Cobb vs Tanga Loa
David Finlay vs Chase Owens
Brody King vs Tama Tonga
