Former NXT Womens Champion Kairi Sane wrestled her last match for WWE this Monday wgen she was a part of tbe recent WWE RAW TV tapings. Dave Meltzer noted on today’s episode of Wrestling Observer Radio that the original booking plan was to have Kairi be taken out and put on the shelf in an angle involving Shayna Baszler.
WWE did tape a second episode of RAW yesterday, so there’s a chance that this angle could still play out on next week’s show. Originally, Natalya was supposed to be the one who would injure Sane but she has been kept off television for a few weeks due to COVID-19 concerns. Her husband, Tyson Kidd, showed up to tapings last month with a fever and is being monitored.
Baszler was apparently put in her booking slot as a result.
