The main event of Backlash, Edge vs Randy Orton, had the tagline as the greatest wrestling match ever. The company wanted to record the match earlier than planned. Unfortunately, an injury seemed to have taken place during the match.
Reports suggested the two were going to have the match at SummerSlam, but it was moved earlier to Backlash. According to a report by Fightful, Edge suffered an injury during the match. It was mentioned that “several in the company” stated that Edge suffered a triceps injury.
The injury seems to be on his right tricep. A bruise could be seen near Edge’s elbow band on his right arm during the match. The severity of the injury is not known and it is unclear how long the Rated R Superstar will be out of action.
We hope Edge makes a comeback sooner rather than later.
