Roman Reigns was scheduled to face Goldberg for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 36. However, Roman did not work the match as he did not want to risk getting infected by COVID-19 considering his health issues. Due to this Braun Strowman replaced him and went on to win the Universal Title.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon has instructed employees to not make any mention of Roman Reigns on WWE television.
Right now the instructions on television are to not ever mention Reigns.
It is unclear how long this will be imposed. It is possible Reigns will not be making a return until a vaccine for the COVID-19 disease is developed. He currently is busy with his family and taking care of his new twins. Till then, the company will be ignoring Reigns’ existence.
