Who Should be the Next Challenger for Jon Moxley ?

Jon Moxley was crowned the second AEW champion at the pay-per-view Revolution after defeating Chris Jericho in an intense match. The million dollar question is, who will be his first challenger?

Darby Allin

One of the biggest rising stars of the AEW roster would be an interesting feud to book for the AEW championship. Both wrestlers faced each other in an episode and that match was a great TV match.

Darby Allin being involved in a high profile feud would be the best thing for him in the short and long term. Moxley & Allin will tag against Jericho & Guevara and this could be were the feud begins.

Sammy Guevara

The protégé of Chris Jericho trying to avenge his role model’s loss against Mox at Revolution could be a potential feud of the year. In a similar fashion to Allin, Guevara is one of AEW’s young rising stars,

Jon Moxley and Sammy Guevara had great chemistry in their bout at an episode of AEW Dynamite.

Lance Archer

The latest signee of AEW having a feud right away with Jon Moxley would be a great way to introduce him to the AEW fanbase that are not familiar with his past work.

The ´Muder Hawk´ and Moxley faced each other at Wrestle Kingdom 14 earlier this year on an intense Texas Deathmatch.

Jimmy Havoc

Jimmy Havoc facing Jon Moxley in a lights out match for the AEW championship would be the most interesting match to book out of all the options for him.

There are no indications this match could happen, but AEW does listen to the fans and if fans want this bout it could happen soon.

Other Options

Kenny Omega, Cody, Hangman and Brodie Lee could be also interesting choices for Moxley’s first challenger, but for the most cases they are already busy in other feuds, while Lee has yet to sign with AEW.
