WWE Hall of Famer returned to WWE at the Royal Rumble. It was then reported that he had signed a new 3 year deal with the company worth $3 million a year.
It was also reported that Edge had been in talks with All Elite Wrestling prior to his re-signing with WWE. It was said that he never had any intention of signing with AEW, that he used this as leverage to get a better deal with WWE.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Edge told WWE that he had been offered $3 million per year with a limited number of dates from AEW, and that WWE matched that deal.
It was also stated in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter it was mentioned that Edge could potentially end up working more dates than the 25 appearances and 5 matches that was reported to be part of his 3 year, $3 million per year new WWE deal.
