As we saw last night at the Royal Rumble PPV, former WWE Superstar MVP made his return to the company as the 12th entrant in the Men’s Royal Rumble Match. As we saw on tonight’s episode of RAW, MVP was once again featured in a match, this time against Rey Mysterio.
Obviously MVP’s surprise return at the Rumble was not just a one-off, as we saw tonight. It now looks as though MVP is back for a short run with the company.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about MVP’s return to WWE at the Royal Rumble and mentioned that he is indeed back with the company, but that his run will not be a lengthy one.
“MVP is in for a couple of nights, but it’s not long term.”
We will have to see if WWE decides to use MVP going forward, or if his couple of night’s were just the Royal Rumble match and his match tonight on RAW against Rey Mysterio.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else on MVP’s status with WWE.
