King’s Takeaways From AEW Dynamite Bash At The Beach

This is going to be an amazing show there are so many incredible matches on the card such as Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara, PAC vs Darby Allin, and a huge fatal-four-way tag team match The Young Bucks vs. Santana & Ortiz vs. Kenny Omega & “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Best Friends; with the winner earning an AEW Tag Team title shot!

The Young Bucks vs. Santana & Ortiz vs. Kenny Omega & “Hangman” Adam Page vs. Best Friends; Winner earns an AEW Tag Team title shot!

Wow folks, just wow! All four teams delivered one hell of an opener. There was so much high-octane action that I wanted the match to never end and so did the red-hot Miami crowd! While I expected Omega & Page to come away with the victory, I was shocked to see it at the expense of The Bucks.

This running story of Hangman going his own way and not standing with The Elite continues to unravel. Whenever he does indeed decide to turn on his buddies it will be must-see and the payoff will be fantastic! I’d love to see an Omega and Hangman match with him as a heel.

You asked for it MJF and Cody accepted all of your ridiculous demands!

Brandi Rhodes & Mel vs. Kris Statlander & Hikura Shida

I typically don’t have many positive things to share about the AEW women’s division but tonight is different. While the match took a bit to kickstart, it quickly turned into a really good contest. Statlander has some huge potential to be a major factor in the division. She’s got a great finisher which is a package piledriver.

This was also my time watching both Brandi Rhodes and Mel and they both impressed me as well. Mel is a monster of a heel and her move style is aggressive and vicious. Rhodes portrays the perfect mixture of menacing and cowardly heel. It definitely was a step in the right direction for AEW.

Jon Moxley vs. Sammy Guevara; Winners goes on to the number-one contender AEW World Championship match next week!

To start things off here I need to mention how much I love Guevara’s character. His swagger and arrogance is a thing of beauty. I laugh every time she reads off the huge poster cards during the commercials. Mox made him wait and arrived in the Ford GT he “stole” from The Inner Circle last week.

The match was decent, not special with Guevara wearing down his foe until Mox came back with the widely expected win via submission. The post-match beatdown will all of the members of The Inner Circle completely overshadowed the match. The Le Champion just spiked someone in the eye, we witnessed a murder lol.

The Butcher & The Blade & MJF vs. QT Marshall & Dustin Rhodes & DDP

I don’t have much to talk about this one. It was incredibly fitting to see one of the true pioneers of WCW on a trademarked pay-per-view titled show. I know that The Butcher and The Blade are big men and henchmen for MJF but I want to know more. Outside of this everyone hates Cody storyline why should I care about them?

You’re right AEW, DDP does still “Have It!” I can’t believe how good he looked in his first match since 2016. He sold so much for the young up-and-comer and truly made feel like a star. Let me say this about MJF when your opponent directly shoots on you being an old-school heel that means you’re doing your job!

In the midst of the chaos, MJF rolled up Marshall and stole the damn victory and it was awesome! It was still fantastic to see DDP in great shape though!

Main Event: PAC vs. Darby Allin; Winner goes onto the number-one contenders match for the AEW World Championship match next week against Jon Moxley!

This was a truly spectacular main event match with PAC and Allin willing to do whatever it takes for a title shot at the world title. There was so much high-octane action packed into the allotted remaining time. I already loved PAC’s character and maneuvers from his time in WWE but, Allin is someone new and fresh. He’s hungry, and his perseverance will one day get him into the main event title scene just not today.

After PAC got the victory his interview was interrupted by Mox refusing to be taken to the hospital. He defiantly assured everyone that next week he’s taking his AEW World title shot to close the show!
