Adam Cole States CM Punk Was Major Influence on His Career, Won’t Invite Him to Join the Undisputed Era

Adam Cole recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about CM Punk returning back to WWE television. Cole was front and center when CM Punk made his debut on WWE Backstage on November 12.

Cole spoke on how the influence CM Punk had on his career along and also stated the Undisputed Era won’t be adding anybody at all.

“Everyone who has followed me knows that CM Punk has been a major influence of mine, especially on the independent scene. He was a guy I looked up to and studied, and someone I really, really enjoyed watching. It was so cool to be there and see him on Backstage, and I had no idea that was going to happen. The Undisputed Era, the four that we are, couldn’t get any better. We’re the flag-bearers of the NXT brand, and we are perfect the way we are. I wouldn’t add a male, I wouldn’t add a female, and we won’t add CM Punk.

Adam Cole has stated that he wouldn’t mind adding a fifth member to the faction, such as Kevin Owens but also tends to turn away any interest in adding anybody to the Undisputed Era.

CM Punk, on the other hand, has stated he isn’t currently pursuing an in-ring return.
