AEW Files Trademarks For Two Former WCW PPV Names

All Elite Wrestling has been tapping into some of that WCW nostalgia since the companies debut earlier this year, as the company has announced a special “Bash At The Beach” edition of Dynamite scheduled already.

It now looks as though we can expect a couple more old WCW event names to be used in AEW, as it has been reported that Cody Rhodes and AEW has filed for two new trademarks last week.

According to a report from PWInsider, Cody applied for trademarks for both “Slamboree” and “SuperBrawl”.

AEW’s Cody Runnels applied to trademark Slamboree on 11/19 for “G & S: Entertainment in the nature of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling; Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network”

Runnells also applied to trademark SuperBrawl for “G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Entertainment services, namely, production and distribution of ongoing television programs in the field of professional wrestling; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network”
