Darius Rucker of Hootie And The Blowfish Fame Says Cody’s Promo Got Him To Buy AEW’s Full Gear Pay Per View
The most recent promo from Cody on AEW Dynamite is being lauded as the best moment in AEW’s history, best promo in a decade and something that will set AEW apart from WWE.
Many wrestling fans already know how talented Cody is and how passionate his promos can be, but this promo has seemed to gain mainstream attention and some lapsed fans have even been rejuvenated by it.
One famous fan, Darrius Rucker who is best known as the lead singer of the band Hootie and The Blowfish, who released a new album last week, tweeted out about the promo.
Cody’s dad Dusty Rhodes is Rucker’s favorite wrestler and was one of the greatest promos of all time in wrestling and someone who could “talk fans into the arena”, it seems the passion is in the blood of the Rhodes family.
