WWE Superstars Feel That Vince McMahon Deserted Them In Saudi Arabia

As we have been reporting, nearly 200 WWE Superstars & Employees were held against their will in Saudi Arabia last week following the Crown Jewel PPV, in what many on the roster said felt like a “power play”.  Additionally, there have been many Superstars that have said that they will never go back to the country again.

The whole ordeal is said to have started after the Crown Prince no-showed a meeting with Vince McMahon and select others to discuss their Middle East TV deal, the late payments and money that is still owed from previous events in Saudi Arabia. It was also reported that Vince had a heated verbal argument with some Saudis which led to him and 22 others getting out of the country before the Prince could “properly respond” to the altercation.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer discussed the situation in full. Meltzer said that there are WWE Superstars that feel as though Vince McMahon deserted them in Saudi Arabia. In addition he went on to say that they felt like they were in the middle of a “dick waving contest”.

“Absolutely, absolutely, I heard that from many different people [that Vince McMahon deserted them]. The feeling was that because there was those problems that happened, you know in whatever it was — the ‘dick waving contest’ was the term that was used.”

“I had heard from one person who used that exact terminology to me that ‘we were pawns in a dick waving contest,’ but the whole thing is that it happened and so Vince shouldn’t have left because there could have been reprisals and they believe that those were the reprisals and that Vince left and left them there and then when he sent whatever — when he sent to get guys out it was only the top guys that were booked on television, not anyone else.”

“You know they could have done something. I still don’t understand how they somehow could have flown in — you know what I mean? Why would it take 24 hours?”

More and more continues to come out about this really scary situation that went down last week in Saudi Arabia involving nearly 200 WWE Superstars and Employees.
