When you think WWE can’t screw this up anymore…

Congratulations WWE, when we think you cannot sink any lower you just impress us. One of the (admittedly few) talking points of this past week’s RAW was the announcement that Seth Rollins is going to put his title on the line against “The Fiend” again in a sequel that gets less and less exciting by the hour considering how abismal the original was. However, while the idea is acceptable and to an extent, logic, the way WWE handled it just shows how out of touch they can be (of course summed up in Vince McMahon’s mindset).

First, it is taking place in Goddamn Saudi Arabia!. Just imagine; “The Fiend” will be in Saudi Arabia! the same place where Aleicester Black wasn’t allowed because he had tattoos that were supposedly against Islam. There is too many things wrong with that itself that were mentioned thousands of times in other articles, so it is needless to recycle them again. This match should take place at Survivor Series if it should happen at all, considering that Bray Wyatt should have been the Champion the first time around. To quote Dolph Ziggler in some fashion “It should have been (him)” since Hell in A Cell, but apparently WWE stood behind their loyal bank account-boasting, twitter’s worst user, self proclaimed best wrestler on the planet, company man in this and clipped the f*cking wings of Bray’s creativity away. WWE treated Bray Wyatt like some sort of Wi-Fi pack where the first two months are free and everything is good with your internet, then once you start paying, everything goes south.

The announcement itself that the match was done in a weird fashion. For a start, Seth cut a promo earlier on RAW where he said that he is going “Fiend hunting”, and if that wasn’t a red flag then you need some good optic glasses for sure. After that, you are almost guaranteed that WWE will do something impressive in its stupidity as usual and they didn’t disappoint, particularly by talking about how Seth has “vowed” to find “The Fiend” and fight him. Then, They announced that the match is indeed taking place in Saudi Arabia under the falls count anywhere stipulation, which puts a real possibility that Bray Wyatt’s first proper loss as “The Fiend” (what happened at HIAC was a referee stoppage by the way!) is going to take place in an inconsequential and ethically-rigged PPV in front of a crowd that 99.99% of it will not get his character.

Then, there is the ending to RAW, which simply sucks!. I can’t find enough expressive terms to describe how disgruntled i was with that ending. It just leaves a lot of questions unanswered: Why Seth was hunting “The Fiend” in the first place? How he managed to find where he is at? Isn’t the “Firefly Fun House” supposed to be in a separated universe? Also, what was that with the sound effects and camera work? etc.. If WWE were trying to make Seth Rollins seem brave, they failed miserably in that. In addition, they completely screwed Bray Wyatt out of his character’s unique mystique and presentation. What’s next for Bray? now that his place have been burnt down (again), will he just wander backstage on Smackdown acting all crazy??.

To be fair, i’m certain that Bray himself doesn’t like what is happening. However, what can he do in front of the mighty “grapefruits” of one Vince McMahon who obviously sees this as “such a good sh*t pal”. Another side effect to this is that this match is 4th in the peaking order of that PPV’s card, behind Velasquez/Lesnar, Strowman/Fury, Team Hogan/Team Flair which Seth Rollins is a part of as Hulk’s team captain (why?), automatically devaluing the match and the title at once.

To recap, i again state that there are a lot of things that don’t add up to this match taking place at all, let along happening in Saudi Arabia. I mean who this match is there for to appease? FOX? The Saudi Royal Family? The Saudi WWE fans? who knows by this point. This can be considered a character termination for Bray Wyatt who has precedents in that department so apparently … R.I.P to “The Fiend” (August 2019 – October 2019) and “See You in Hell” (no pun intended).

In the end, that is just one man’s opinion. It is your opinion that matters the most in the comments below and if you want reach out on twitter @OGouesmiHellRaiser. Till next time!
