Top Promotion Not Allowing Talents To Appear At Starrcast

Starrcast III was a huge success. Fans from all over the world flooded the Chicago area for the four day event, and were treated to many memorable panels and events. Some of wrestling’s top stars and legends from the past were in attendance and featured in some way, however it appears as though another promotion besides WWE wasn’t permitting their talents from appearing in any capacity.

According to a report via Fightful Select, Ring of Honor star Flip Gordon had attempted to attend Starrcast III, however ROH would not allow it. It was said that Flip event tried to take the booking through a third party, and it still wasn’t able to be worked out.

It wasn’t just Flip that wasn’t allowed to appear at Starrcast III, in fact ROH wouldn’t permit any of their contracted talents appear at the event. This was the company’s policy back in May for Starrcast II, and it appears to still be in place.

“They aren’t permitting any talent to appear at the convention, and didn’t at the second Starrcast, either.”

We will have to see if Ring of Honor changes their policy going forward as plans for the next Starrcast IV event has been announced for Baltimore in November.
