Mick Foley Appearing at Starrcast III, Did WWE Give Him a Hard Time?

Mick Foley has appeared on WWE television several times throughout the year in 2019. Foley is appearing at Starrcast III among several other WWE Hall of Famers. WWE did not make Foley pull out of his Starrcast appearance unlike WWE did to the Undertaker and Kurt Angle at Starrcast II in Vegas.

Foley spoke to The Sporting News but stated that when he agreed to this appearance this weekend there was no ‘Wednesday Night Wars’ when he agreed to the appearance in Chicago and it was just a appearance and nothing more than that and wasn’t that big of a deal.

“I didn’t experience any pushback (laughs). No one suggested I don’t do it. That doesn’t necessarily mean people are happy about me doing it. I agreed to do it. There was no AEW television deal, and WWE hadn’t scheduled their television show. Plenty of WWE Hall of Famers had done it before me. So I didn’t see it as that big of a deal.”

Foley doesn’t view his appearance at Starrcast as a big deal but plenty of wrestling fans are making a huge deal of the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’ coming shortly. More people seem to be interested in wrestling at this time with a new brand emerging for the first time in a long time.
