WWE’s Plan For The Street Profits Revealed

WWE has been featuring NXT Superstars Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins – The Street Profits regularly in non-wrestling segments on RAW every week over the last month or so, and with the recent happenings at the NXT TV Tapings last week many have been wondering what their future holds.

** NXT TV SPOILER AHEAD **

During the most recent set of NXT TV Tapings last week at Full Sail University, The Street Profits faced The Undisputed Era, who got one final shot at the gold, for the Tag Titles. The Undisputed Era were victorious and regained the NXT Tag Team Championships, however don’t be surprised when you see The Street Profits wearing the belts on RAW until that episode of NXT TV airs on the WWE Network.

The future of the former NXT Tag Champs was addressed by Dave Meltzer and he reported that The Street Profits dropping the tag titles at last week’s TV Tapings has nothing to do with the being featured on RAW every week. Meltzer said, “They are remaining as NXT wrestlers even though they will continue with non-wrestling segments on Raw.”

We will continue to see Ford and Dawkins on both RAW and NXT TV going forward for now. With NXT set to move to the USA Network on Wednesday night’s beginning next month, we will have to wait and see if WWE decides to eventually bring The Street Profits up to the main roster, or if they will remain with NXT and be featured with the show jumps to USA.
