Hall of Famer Harley Race Passes Away

Some sad news today. Harley Race has passed away. Shared earlier on Twitter through Race’s official Twitter account.

Harley Race was an all time wrestling great. In his 30+ year career, he had done it all. Multiple time world champion, if there was a promotion during his time wrestling, he wrestled for them. Inducted into both the WWE Hall of Fame, the Observer Hall Of Fame, NWA Hall Of Fame and the Pro Wrestling Hall Of Fame.

Overcoming polio as a kid, Race got tough and got mean early in his life, even being expelled from school for beating up the principle. When Race turned 18 he began wrestling professionally and never looked back.

Whether your memories of him are as NWA champion, a king in WWE or a manager for Vader in WCW, you are bound to have an impression of him. A damn good one too, Race was a “mans man” and even though he didn’t have the physique of a picturesque wrestler, he looked like he could and would kick your ass.
