NXT Superstar Suffers Potential Serious Injury Over Weekend At Live Event

WWE’s NXT brad held a live event in Fort Pierce, Florida over the weekend, and it appears as though one of the NXT Superstars suffered a pretty serious injury during the show.

A fan named Jim Varsallone attended the NXT Live Event in Fort Pierce over the weekend and posted an account of what sounds like a pretty serious injury involving Rachael Ellering.

According to his account of the incident it sounds like Ellering possibly blew out her knee during the match. The match was immediately stopped as the referee threw up the X, and a stretcher was brought down to the ring. Eventually Ellering was able to work her knee enough to bend it, and refused to leave the arena via stretcher as she walked to the back with help.

Varsallone wrote:

“Want to wish WWE NXT Superstar Rachel Evers (Rachael Ellering) all the best.

At NXT Fort Pierce on Saturday night, she injured her left leg in a match with Lacey Lane. Evers, playing the heel, was accompanied to the ring by The Virtuosa Deonna Purrazzo. When the injury occurred, Referee Jessika Carr quickly called for the match and gave the X sign, twice.

The respectful crowd went silent as medical, referees, security and paramedics were on the scene. Eventually, she was able to bend her left leg gingerly in the ring, and the tough-minded competitor did not leave on a stretcher, which was there.

Hoping for the best, appreciative fans then applauded as she was carried to the back.”
