MLW Unaware Of Tony Schiavone’s Involvement In AEW’s “Road To ALL OUT” – Court Bauer Responds

All Elite Wrestling will present their next big event ALL OUT on August 31st, from the Sears Centre in Chicago, Illinois.

AEW has released their first “Road To ALL OUT” video, and it featured former WCW mainstay and current MLW announcer Tony Schiavone between the shows segments. Unfortunately it looks like there may be some issues going forward with Tony Schiavone’s involvement.

MLW CEO Court Bauer commented on Schiavone’s appearance and involvement in AEW’s “Road To ALL OUT”, and apparently he was unaware of Schiavone doing any work for AEW and stated that Tony cannot proceed with AEW or any other company doing anything going forward.

Bauer stated:

“Unless AEW elects to reach out, Tony Schiavone cannot proceed with AEW or any other company doing anything. I was unaware of him doing the digital stuff until I read it in this week’s Observer.”

Schiavone began working with MLW back in 2017 when the company relaunched. Recently he has not been part of the MLW commentary team, but it was announced that he will be back working with the company in the next few weeks. It was also reported that Schiavone signed a 2 year exclusive contract with MLW.

When asked about his involvement in AEW, Schiavone stated that he is not part of AEW and that he just likes to help out Cody Rhodes when he can.

We will have to see how this situation with Tony Schiavone and AEW unfolds going forward. However, it looks as though Court Bauer and MLW are not going to allow Tony to work for any other promotion as he signed an exclusive contract with them.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about Tony Schiavone, MLW and AEW.
