More Talk Of WWE Moving NXT TV To FS1

WWE’s huge deal with FOX that was announced last year, will see SmackDown LIVE move to the FOX Network on Friday night’s starting in October.

With the new deal with FOX, it is also expected to bring more WWE programming to the Fox Networks. Already announced is a WWE centered talk show which will air on FS1, but since the deal was first announced it has been rumored that NXT will also find a new home on one of the Fox Networks as well.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer brings up the notion that NXT might find a home on FS1, as it is being discussed internally and is said to have been revealed to Fox Affiliates yesterday.

Meltzer said:

“There are negotiations to get NXT on which shocks me to no end. The idea of NXT on Wednesday nights, what an absolute shocker. It’s gotta be FS1, they’re not about to put it on Fox.”

“The only thing that’s official is the talk show on FS1. There’s definitely the idea they brought up at the meeting the idea of NXT getting on television.”

It’s funny to me that Meltzer says that the negotiations to get NXT on FS1 shocks him to no end, as that has been reported and talked about for about a year now.

With WWE working to get NXT on FS1 on Wednesday nights, you also can’t help but believe that this is an attempt to go head to head with AEW which will have a weekly television program airing on what is expected to be Wednesday’s starting in October.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more about the possibility of NXT TV making its way to FS1 or one of the FOX Networks.
