Beyond Wrestling Stands To Lose Around $40,000 After The First Season Of Uncharted Territory Ends

2019 will go down as one of the most important years in professional wrestling. WWE will be debuting on Fox, a first for the company. Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling sold out Madison Square Garden. All Elite Wrestling instantly became the number two wrestling promotion in America after only one event. It seems like the timing couldn’t be better for professional wrestlers and wrestling promoters.

Beyond Wresting boasts the largest independent wrestling YouTube channel with over 1.5 million subscribers. They are attempting to turn those subscribers into a weekly viewing audience for their Uncharted Territory show. The show airs on Independent Wrestling Television and has a run time of over two hours. Uncharted Territory is not a free show though, you will have to pay around $10 a month to catch the weekly show.

The reason that Uncharted Territory is behind a paywall, is because Beyond took a chance on themselves and decided to be the first independent company to air weekly live wrestling. They have been at it for 14 weeks now and for those that have watched it, Beyond has received rave reviews.

The only problem is, at the moment, not enough people are watching the show to make it a financial success. This is the first season of Uncharted Territory and the brass behind Beyond did not expect it to be an overnight success.

Earlier today the Beyond Wrestling Twitter account shared some insight as to why there has yet to be an announcement for season two, and what keeps them financially afloat.

Always looking on the bright side, Beyond says they don’t see it as “losing” $40,000+, but more as an investment.

I don’t know if it is fair to say that we will have “lost” $40,000-$50,000. I’d like to think of #UnchartedTerritory Season 1 as an investment. Personally, I’m learning a whole hell of a lot about what wrestling fans want in 2019 and how to give it to them weekly.

If you are looking for a way to support this company and help them succeed, Beyond sent out a tweet of advice.

This company is bringing in some of the best independent talent in America, and many that are signed but free to work indies for the time being. If you talk about how historic 2019 is in professional wrestling, you must include this promotion and show. They started by having shows where the only audience members were wrestlers, to now being on the verge of having a sustainable weekly pro wrestling show. Best of luck to Beyond Wrestling and Uncharted Territory.
