Fyter Fest To Become A Yearly Event For AEW

AEW presented Fyter Fest last night from the Ocean Center in Daytona, Florida. The event was part of the 2019 CEO Fighting Game Championships, and it looks like it will be a yearly event for the company.

During the post show media scrum AEW Owner and President Tony Khan talked about the hardcore match on the Buy In pre-show that involved CEO’s Alex Jebailey, where he revealed that AEW will be returning to Daytona yearly for Fyter Fest.

“There was like a.. a hardcore match with a non wrestler performing and there was an element of nepotism, and you’re going to see that every time we come to CEO, which will be once a year, and at least you’re not getting it once a week.”

Earlier in the media scrum, The Young Bucks were asked about whether or not Fyter Fest was a one-off, and they indicated that it was a one time thing. However, Tony Khan appeared to have a different take on Fyter Fest as he elaborated on the company’s plans when he was asked about The Young Bucks statement and if this would be a one-off.

“I really liked it. I thought it was really fun. People seemed to have a good time. I think we could do this every year. I don’t know why I wouldn’t want to come back and do this, and Alex is a great partner.”

So it seems as though Tony Khan plans for AEW’s partnership with CEO will become a regular yearly event.
