Cable Company Mistakes AEW For WWE

All Elite Wrestling’s first ever show Double Or Nothing happened on May 25th. Over 90,000 people ordered the PPV for over $50 per purchase. That means that those 90,000 people are receiving their cable bill this month.

If you use Spectrum TV, an American over-the-top internet television service owned by Charter Communications. The service – which is structured as a virtual multichannel video programming distributor – is only available to Charter Spectrum internet customers, you might have noticed something on your bill.

As you can see the bill states that Double Or Nothing was a WWE event.

It’s chalked up to a simple error, but what’s more telling is how WWE has woven itself as the name for wrestling. Like Kleenex for paper tissue or Sharpie for permanent markers. AEW being the number two promotion might be a permanent thing because it’s hard to topple a company that is the name most associated with the product.
