Kevin Owens Will Not Be Going To Saudi Arabia With WWE

In a little over two weeks, WWE will head back to Saudi Arabia for the “possibly better than Wrestlemania” Super Showdown. One person who will not being going is Kevin Owens.

Fightful.com has an exclusive report on why Owens will not be attending the event.

Owens had told WWE officials that he didn’t want to work WWE’s upcoming show in Saudi Arabia, titled Super Showdown. We weren’t told a specific reason as to why Owens came to the decision, but his friend and longtime tag team partner Sami Zayn has been off of those shows because of strained relationships between Syria and Saudi Arabia with WWE stating “WWE is committed to embracing individuals from all backgrounds while respecting local customs and cultural differences around the world.

This is most likely the reason for Owens involvement in the WWE Champiomship moving forward. Last night on Smackdown, Kevin Owens went out to confront the New Day with his best friend Sami Zayn. Instead of saying anything, Owens left the stage only to off camera attack Big E before Sami’s match with champion Kofi Kingston. Dolph Ziggler then made a surprise return by attacking Kofi Kingston and proclaiming himself the title challenger at Super Showdown.
