Eric Bischoff Shoots On Missy Hyatt

Eric Bischoff, along with Conrad Thompson have a weekly podcast called 83 Weeks. The podcast focuses mainly on WCW and the business side of the company while they were operating.

On this weeks episode Eric and Conrad were talking about Spring Stampede 1994. During the time the pay per view was taking place, Missy Hyatt was in the middle of a lawsuit with WCW.

The lawsuit was because, during a match, Hyatt jumped off the ring apron and her breast popped out of her top. When she went to the WCW offices the next day, they allegedly had a blown-up picture of it on the wall. Hyatt complained to her boss at the time, Eric Bischoff. Bischoff did not take action, so Hyatt went over his head, to his boss. As a result, Bischoff released her. She then decided to file a lawsuit against WCW for sexual harassment

Conrad brings up the lawsuit to Eric and runs down the reason for the lawsut. That’s when Eric takes control of the conversation and has a five minute rant on Missy.

I’m gonna try really hard here, not to be too crass and abusive of Missy Hyatt. You have to understand who Missy Hyatt was, the real Melissa. The way she conducted herself. I jokingly say on some of our live shows, she got passed around more than a fucking joint at a Led Zepplin concert. This was not a prim and proper professional woman. She carved out her own persona both on camera and off..

The fact that she moved to New York, went on to become a stripper and have her own porn site. I think if you look at the total picture and context, most rational people would arrive at the conclusion that the lawsuit was a desperate attempt to cash in. She knew that Turner Broadcasting was sensitive to litigation.

She found an attorney, that was willing to go after “big bad Turner Broadcasting” and defend the integrity and reputaton of poor Missy Hyatt. It was just a freaking joke.

There was a picture, it was entered into evidence. The picture that was described in litigation wasn’t nearly as bad as Missy made it out to be. It was somewhat revealing, but probably no more revealing than what anyone would see at a beach.

Whatever, it’s Missy Hyatt. She had her own porn site for a while, until no one was willing to pay for that kinda thing, with her any longer. It’s funny Tony (Schiavone) and I were at Wrestlecon when we were in our booth together and Tony leans over to me and says “Eric did you see Missy Hyatt” I said “No I haven’t seen her, it’d be interesting to see her and say hi.” He said “She looks like The Joker” (Eric laughs after saying that).

This conversation up to this point, was me trying my best not to go overboard on Missy Hyatt. Because I could, we could continue but I don’t want to do that. I want to take the high road here. That is as high as this road goes brother.

Conrad then apologizes to Missy before going into an advertisement for Blue Chew, which is an erectile dysfunction product. Eric says

With all due respect to our sponsor. There is not enough Blue Chew on planet Earth to get me excited thinking about Missy Hyatt.
