Jushin Thunder Liger Announces When he Will Retire

Jushin Thunder Liger has had a lengthy career spanning over three decades and he has wrestled for every major wrestling company but this legendary run will finally be coming to an end next year.

Liger recently spoke to media during the press conference for 2019 New Japan Cup, where he went on to announce that he will be competing in the last match of his career at Wrestle Kingdom 14.

He also wants to wrestle at the G1 Supercard event next month at Madison Square Garden.

He said that he has realized he has no more room for growth and he will like to go all over Japan and the world to show himself one more time before he retires

I will retire next year in January at the Tokyo Dome. I have nowhere else to grow. I can still do it, still get in there, but have no room for growth. What shall I do with the next ten months? I was Liger for thirty years, all over the world. So while I don’t want to call this a retirement tour, I want to go all over Japan and the world and show myself to everyone one more time.
