Becky Lynch – Ric Flair confrontation is what’s best for business

With WrestleMania XXXV 41 days away, its road has led us in many different directions leading to what many believe will be the main event RAW Women’s title match in New York/New Jersey at MetLife Stadium. We started with Becky Lynch winning the Royal Rumble and challenging Ronda Rousey, to ‘The Man’ being suspended, that suspension being lifted by Triple H, only for WWE Chairman Vince McMahon replacing Becky with Charlotte Flair. It has been a wild ride so far, and tonight’s WWE Raw stop on the road to WM35 in Atlanta, GA tonight hopefully will bring an entertaining turn that might skyrocket this (what many believe will be a) eventual triple threat match into an unbelievable level of anticipation.

For several weeks, WWE has set the stage for a 70th birthday party for the legendary 2-time Hall of Famer Ric Flair, which is being set up as a feel good moment broadcasted from the home of the old WCW headquarters. That being said, this writer feels this could lead to something far more entertaining and dare I say, historic.

The 16-Time World Heavyweight champion Ric Flair’s 70th birthday is scheduled to be celebrated tonight on WWE RAW

Becky Lynch (who has been absent from WWE television since her electric appearance on the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view where she beat down Charlotte and Rousey with crutches), could pull of the biggest move since this controversy of whom will challenge Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s championship by showing up on RAW and confronting the 16-time World Champion. In addition, it would be a great move for WWE to also make sure this confrontation becomes physical. The ‘LassKicker’ and ‘Nature Boy’ have crossed paths before when Flair interfered in several Charlotte matches in an attempt to keep the then-Divas title around his daughter’s waist. There was also an uncomfortable kiss Flair put on Lynch that was meant to be a diversionary tactic that WWE has tried to since erase from our memories. That being said, tonight has the potential to be an one on one encounter that could be far better than anything we’ve ever seen before and its my hope that WWE does what’s “best for business” and have it’s biggest current star attack it’s arguably most notable Hall of Famer with his daughter (because it’s her dad’s birthday) in the building.

Tonight has the potential to be an awesome show. In addition to Flair’s birthday party, we will also see the return of Roman Reigns for a special announcement. Will he be returning to the ring? We will find out tonight. Will we find out when the 1st title defense by the new WWE Women’s tag team champions Sasha Banks and Bayley will be? All this and more will be on the minds of WWE fans, but it’s beyond debate that WWE’s universe centers around one person and one person only, and that person is not even scheduled to be there! Becky Lynch is truly and undisputedly, THE MAN!

Since SummerSlam, WWE has been figuratively owned by Becky Lynch, and in the home of WCW, Atlanta, GA, ‘The Man’ can make a huge impact as we continue to travel the road to WrestleMania
