WWE Hall Of Famer Pedro Morales Passes Away

WWE Hall of Famer Pedro Morales has passed away at the age of 76.

Morales, a native of Culebra Island, Puerto Rico, moved to New York as a child and made his professional wrestling debut in 1959 at age 17.

Morales held the then WWWF Championship for 1,027 days before finally losing the title to Stan Stasiak in December of 1973. Morales later won the World Tag Team titles along with his partner Bob Backlund in 1980. He would then go on to win the Intercontinental Title as well, becoming the first Triple Crown Winner in WWE history.

Pedro Morales would retire from professional wrestling in 1987. Morales would later go on to work for both WCW and WWE as a member of their Spanish Announce Team. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 1995.
