Is Seth Rollins’ Injury Worse Than Expected?

Seth Rollins will challenge Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Title at WrestleMania 35. However, Rollins is dealing with a back injury that is currently keeping him from in-ring competition for the month of February. Rollins won’t be missing any TV time, as WWE has been using him on television just not wrestling.

On this week’s episode of RAW we saw Seth Rollins come out to the and cut a promo, which led to Ambrose babyface turn as he wished Rollins luck against Lesnar at WrestleMania. But it seems like Rollins could be injured worse than what has been let on.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talks about Seth Rollins segment last night on RAW and speculates that the condition of Rollins’ back could be worse than was expected.

Regarding Seth Rollins injury, Meltzer said:

“So is he like really, I know he’s got a bad back, but is he hurt? I mean he must be hurting worse than they’re letting on. Because it sounded like Kurt Angle before that WrestleMania in Seattle almost.”

While WWE could have always written Rollins promo the way they did to really build up the role of the sympathetic babyface going against the beast incarnate at WrestleMania, what is known is that he is indeed injured and will continue to need time off as he heals.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more concerning the injury status of Seth Rollins.
