Reasoning Behind WWE Inserting Charlotte Flair Into WrestleMania 35 Main Event

By winning the 2019 Women’s Royal Rumble match Becky Lynch earned the opportunity to name her opponent for WrestleMania 35, to which she decided that she will challenge Ronda Rousey for the WWE RAW Women’s Title.

Despite it currently being billed as a singles match, the plan is still for the match at WrestleMania to be a Triple Threat Match between Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, and Ronda Rousey for the RAW Women’s Title instead. As of right now the match is also still slated to headline WrestleMania 35, but as always plans can change.

While this may not be the match that the WWE Universe wants to see, there is apparently very good reasoning behind WWE’s plan of adding Charlotte Flair into the RAW Women’s Title Match at WrestleMania.

It had previously been reported that Ronda Rousey was planning on taking time away from WWE following WrestleMania 35, despite Rousey shooting down the report herself. It is being said that the plan is still for Ronda Rousey to take time off from WWE after WrestleMania.

The thought here is that by inserting Flair into the match, you’re left with two top level talents in the title picture following Ronda’s departure, while still being able to protect Rousey in the process.

Exactly how WWE will end up booking this WrestleMania Main Event has not completely been decided, it has however previously been noted that Becky Lynch is almost certain to end up closing out Mania as the newly crowned RAW Women’s Champion.

We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding WrestleMania, the RAW Women’s Title match, or Ronda Rousey’s WWE status.
