WWE Asking Fans At Royal Rumble AXXESS Event To Hide Merch With AEW Logo Visible

All Elite Wrestling has quickly made waves in the wrestling world, WWE has reportedly been said to be keeping an eye on the promotion and their happenings, but that doesn’t mean that WWE is okay with the upstart promotion encroaching on their audience.

Earlier this month when AEW held their Double or Nothing Rally in Jacksonville the same night that WWE was putting on SmackDown LIVE in the same city, it was said that WWE had been turning fans away and making them change if they were wearing AEW merch at SDLive. The company quickly changed their mind, but yet it still appears as though WWE doesn’t want AEW merch to be seen on WWE cameras.

During the Royal Rumble AXXESS event taking place this weekend, some fans who showed up wearing All Elite Wrestling merchandise were asked to make adjustments from WWE representatives.

WWE was said to be asking fans wearing AEW hats to “tilt up” their caps so that the AEW logo would not be seen during photographs. This was taking place during meet and greets with WWE Superstars today during AXXESS.

You can see a tweet from a fan commenting on being asked by WWE reps to tilt his cap up to hide the AEW logo, below.

Others were saying that fans wearing WWE hats were asked to tilt their caps up as well, and that it was a “shadow” issue on the fans faces. But there is no confirmation that was indeed the case.
