Paige Drops Hint Teasing A Potential Return To The Ring

Just over a year ago WWE Superstar Paige was forced to retire rom in-ring competition after suffering another scary neck injury during a match at a WWE Live Event in Uniondale, New York.

Paige has remained on WWE TV as the General Manager of SmackDown LIVE up until recently being removed from the role. Paige appeared this weekend at the Royal Rumble Axxess event, she was interviewed by Chris Van Vliet and Paige dropped a very interesting hint that teased a potential return to the wrestling ring down the road.

Paige’s interview was discussed during a recent audio update on PWInsider Elite, Mike Johnson commented on Paige’s remarks pointing out her teasing possibly wrestling again in four years.

“Paige made some interesting comments yesterday at Royal Rumble Axxess talking about the potential of coming back. Really the interviewer said, ‘You never say never’ that her career is done. She said, ‘Well, maybe in four years’ which is probably around the time her WWE contract ends and she said ‘No one wants to watch me wrestle when I’m 60’ and joking about nobody wanting to watch wrestlers in their advanced age.”

“You know as I’ve said all along if she wanted to take a bump, she could. She shouldn’t, but she could. As long as she’s under contract to WWE that’s not going to happen. Whether she gets out of her contract with WWE and takes some bumps we will see. I personally advise against it.”

Paige was diagnosed with spinal stenosis, which is the same condition that forced the early retirement of WWE Hall of Famers Edge and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.
