All Elite Wrestling is shaping up to be a great promotion with a solid foundation. However, they still have ways to go, which includes signing more talented wrestlers for the roster. This might include a former WWE superstar.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that it is doubtful CM Punk will compete in UFC again despite still being a UFC fighter. From the looks of it, Punk simply has no intention of returning to professional wrestling right now. Here is what Meltzer said:

“CM Punk does not seem like he wants to do anything with pro wrestling. He has plenty of opportunities. I know he hates WWE and he has every right to after that lawsuit. That doesn’t mean he should hate New Japan and AEW and all that.”

“The reality is he’s still under contract with UFC somehow even though they’ll never use him again, but you know he doesn’t seem to want to be around wrestling. If he doesn’t, more power to him. If he wants to be around wrestling he can call them. They’ve already called him, I know that. He just doesn’t want to be around wrestling.”

Nothing should be discounted in professional wrestling. After all, shocking things happen quite frequently in the business. So perhaps one day we might see CM Punk wrestle again, and that too for All Elite Wrestling.
