It is a crazy time right now in professional wrestling, as the business is experience a free agent frenzy that hasn’t been seen since the days of the Monday Night Wars between WCW/WWF, and even ECW. You can now officially add another top indy star’s name to the list of wrestlers who are now free agents it appears.
Former Lucha Underground Star Killshot, or as he is known outside the company – Shane “Swerve” Strickland officially announced that he is once again a free agent earlier today, revealing that he is no longer under contract with LU.
Strickland has reportedly been on WWE’s radar for awhile now, but due to his contractual obligations with Lucha Underground he was not able to report to the WWE Performance Center for a tryout late last year. At the time it was said that it would be January at the earliest before anything between him and WWE could happen. It appears as though that time is officially upon us, after his announcement today that he is now a free agent.
