WWE Reportedly Planning Big Things For The First RAW of 2019

WWE is planning for 2019 to be a big year for the company, as the announcement was made that WWE Women’s Tag Titles will be coming soon as well as the latest set of NXT call-ups which are to be part of the “New Era” that Vince McMahon promised the WWE Universe.

WWE’s plans for their “New Era” was discussed on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, and Bryan Alvarez talks about WWE’s plans for RAW in 2019, and mentions that the show should be worth watching. Alvarez also discussed the next group of NXT call-ups to the main roster, which WWE previously announced unlike how they have handled the promotions in the past.

Regarding WWE’s “New Era” and plans for 2019, Alvarez said:

“The idea was that all of these names were going to debut, I don’t know if it was after the Royal Rumble or sometime in January so I presume they’ll be up in the first couple of weeks [of 2019]. All I know is that a couple of weeks ago I said that they figured that the first couple of weeks of January were going to be big. Apparently, they still have something big planned for the first live Raw of 2019, so it could be debuts.”

As you probably already know, WWE has already taped next week’s episodes of RAW, however it is expected that more backstage segments will be included on the broadcast which will avoid having the show be spoiled completely as results have already been reported. WWE did this last week as well, as the Women’s Tag Titles were announced via backstage segment that wasn’t shown to the audience during tapings. The same happened on SmackDown last week when they aired the backstage segment which saw AJ Styles attack Vince McMahon.

We will keep you updated if any more information on taped segments comes known.
