Exclusive: More Cities Expected To Be Announced For XFL Franchises

It was roughly a year ago that our friend Brad Shepard broke the story that the XFL was set to return. Shortly thereafter, it was officially announced that the XFL would be returning in 2020.. however there has not been much else revealed since then regarding the league.

This week though news began to stir and reports have been coming out regarding cities that will be potential homes for the 8 XFL teams. Brad reported earlier this week that one of those cities is expected to be Seattle, Washington.

We spoke to Brad earlier today and have an exclusive follow up to his original report that Seattle will be one of the eight cities announced as home for an XFL franchise, and it appears that St. Louis, Washington D.C, and a NY/NJ team will also be announced.

Regarding cities that are expected to be announced for XFL teams, Brad Shepard told us at Bodyslam.net:

“According to a source in WWE, Seattle is one of the eight XFL teams which will be announced on December 5th. I’ve also heard NY/NJ, St. Louis and Washington DC, but I’ve been unable to separately confirm those as of yet.”

You can see Brad’s original tweet from earlier in the week below.

As Brad mentioned, Washington D.C is expected to be revealed as one of the cities, and according to a report from Pablo Maurer it appears to confirm what Brad has also reported.

We will keep you updated as more information regarding the XFL becomes known.
