As we saw last night at WWE’s Survivor Series PPV, during the pre-show kickoff special. team SmackDown won the match – which apparently didn’t count. During the match, it appeared as though there was an incident in which one of the participants seemed to have suffered an injury.
There was a change made which appeared to be done on the fly, which saw Kalisto jump out of the ring and exit the match, which the commentary team even noted and brought to the audiences attention. Apparently this happened because there was an injury suffered during the match to Kalisto.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talks about the incident and he reports that Kalisto was indeed injured and that he took himself out of the match. Gran Metalik quickly jumped in and took over for Kalisto and the match continued.
Regarding the spot where Kalisto exited the match and Gran Metalik took over, Metlzer said:
“So Kalisto suffered a knee injury in the match and he just kind of got off the apron and then Gran Metalik got on the apron.”
We will keep you updated if we hear anything more regarding the injury that Kalisto apparently suffered last night at Survivor Series.
