Shane McMahon Shockingly Wins World Cup Tournament

The World Cup was one of the most anticipated events at WWE Crown Jewel, in order to crown who would be the best in the world. Throughout the night superstars competed against each other in order to advance to the finals.

Rey Mysterio defeated Randy Orton to advance to the next round, but not without getting viciously attacked by Randy after the match. The Miz would also win his first match, defeating Jeff Hardy. Then he would go on to defeat Rey Mysterio as well in the second round.

Dolph Ziggler beat Kurt Angle to advance and Seth Rollins defeated Bobby Lashley to go to the next round as well. Dolph would go on to beat Seth with help from Drew McIntyre.

The finals saw Miz taking on Dolph Ziggler. The referee removed Drew from the ring, and before the match started, Miz would beat down on Dolph and take him outside.

When Miz went outside, he suddenly slipped and showed that he injured his leg, but it was most likely a work as no one attended to him. Afterwards, Shane McMahon asked if he could do the match, as, by his own orders, he would be fired if Shane lost the finals.

The referee called for the match but before it could be announced, Shane stopped him and put himself in the match, replacing Miz. Shane would be on the offensive with some quick punches and then kicked out of a Zig Zag. He then went for a Coast To Coast on Ziggler and won the tournament.

It was a very disappointing ending is all we could say.
