Triple H Suffers Injury During Match At Crown Jewel And Will Require Surgery

Triple H suffers injury at Crown Jewel and will need surgery to repair damage.

The main event of today’s WWE Crown Jewel Pay-Per-View saw DX battle The Brothers of Destruction in a first time ever tag team match between the two.

It appears as though Triple H suffered a torn pectoral muscle during the match, and he will require surgery. There was a spot during the match which saw Triple H needing to be attended to on the floor at ringside by medical staff after he was on the receiving end of a chokeslam through a table from Kane.

During the match Michael Cole even mentioned that Triple H appeared to be hurt following the table spot, and pointed out that he was being attended to by WWE’s medical staff. While all this was going on, Shawn Michaels covered by taking on both Kane and The Undertaker on his own. Eventually Triple H was able to get back into the action, and reappeared on the ring aprun.

From there it seemed that the decision was made to bring the match home, as Triple H took the hot tag, and the match went into the planned finish. At the time it was thought that Triple H’s injury was part of the match, being that he was able to continue and event scored the pinfall victory. However, that isn’t the case as WWE released a statement following Crown Jewel announcing Triple H’s injury, and that he will need surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle that he suffered during the main event.

WWE also announced that because of his injury Triple H was heading home early, and that he would be returning the US to undergo surgery later this week.

Regarding Triple H’s injury at Crown Jewel, WWE stated:

“During the epic showdown between D-Generation X and The Brothers Of Destruction at WWE Crown Jewel, Triple H sustained what appears to be a torn pectoral muscle, WWE.com has learned.”

“As a result, The Game plans to return to the United States this week to undergo surgical repair.”

We will keep you updated when we hear more regarding Triple H’s injury and scheduled surgery.
